I have started packaging the food for this family in easy, take along packaging for the husbands commute to work.  I found some great packaging at GFS that has one large and 2 small compartments.  The snap on lid is super sturdy.

BBQ Rib Judging

I was called on to judge an amateur rib cook off at a church in Hendersonvlle yesterday.  They teamed it with a blood drive.  I gave blood right after I tasted all those amazing ribs.  It's funny my blood could even flow thru the tube.  all entrees did a great job.  Kudos to the winners.  Can't wait "til next year!  Yum!!

This is a new elderly couple in Gallatin that was referred to me by a wonderful Publix employee, Katie.  The Mrs. is having terrible digestive related problems, from trouble w/ swallowing, to hiatal hernia, to acid reflux.  Her hubby is quite well, and so I actually altered the recipes for each person.  this is one of those instances that I'd like to see detoxing, chiropractics, herbal supplements, total dietary change....not gonna happen!  )<:  When you have lived for 85 years going to regular Dr.'s, taking any kind of prescription drug w/o researching it first, and eating processed foods, it becomes embedded in the being.

Today's client has been with me for 3 years this month.  She's having trouble getting her hubby to eat the sides, so I went and bought 3 compartment lidded, micro containers.  That way the sides will heat with the entree.  Problem solved.  He'll take these to work most days, so he can lay off the fast food during the day.  We ARE what we EAT!
PS:  He likes southern food and also is pretty picky.  I do my best by lightening up the recipes:

Working for a diabetic gentleman trying to regain his health.  We are working w/ a low pH and low glycemic regimen!
1.LAMB STEW(THIS HAS SPINACH AND YOGURT W/ LOTS OF SPICE)

It takes a lot of dark green food to lower our pH.  Today's menu has almost a bushel(it seemed) of green veggies!  Healthy but tasty, too!

I cooked for a really great family today.  Their young daughter is far from a picky eater and was brought up eating whatever Mom and Dad ate.  Yeah!

We had company for Easter so I took a couple of days off to cook for them.  I made everything from apple-cinnamon pancakes to Haluski.  Go figure.  Yesterday I pulled a double.  I have a new client with advanced prostate cancer.  He called me last night to say that the Harvest Casserole and Baked Apples were the best things he has ever eaten.  I just hope they make him healthy.!
